So we're moving in together... Which is a bit of a false statement. It implies that we're both doing this thing, when what it is, is that I'm moving into his house, and he's shifting some of his furniture to accommodate me. It sounds like I'm trivializing his end of things, but since he's been harassing me to move in for almost a year, I don't think I am. He's getting off easy. But I don't want to say I'm moving in with my boyfriend, because I don't like the way that sounds. That emphasizes the aspects of this decision that I'm still moderately uncomfortable with. It's funny how we can get hung up on semantics.
Not that it matters. I've given my roommate two months (and a bit) notice. She won't need it. She's got another person already lined up. But it's a polite gesture, and it gives me two months to get my shit together and actually move in here. I'd rather move over the next two months than have a giant moving day at the end of October.
I practically live here anyway. I'm home maybe once or twice a month. I haven't bought groceries there, or consumed anything more than coffee, since the beginning of summer. I've slowly started moving furniture in. Really, now that I've finally made my decision, it's not that bad.
